A storefront is the first thing customers see and one of the most technically demanding parts of a tenant improvement. It has to look right, keep water and air out, stand up to wind loads, and provide an accessible entrance, all while matching what the landlord and the building department will approve.

We coordinate aluminum storefront framing, commercial glass, and entrance doors with qualified glazing contractors under the general contract. That includes new storefront openings, replacement of aging framing and glass, entrance doors with closers and panic hardware, and interior storefront systems. Glass is selected for safety glazing requirements, energy performance, and security where needed.

Local conditions change the specification. In Miami-Dade County, exterior storefront systems in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone generally need to be impact-rated products with a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance. In Chicago, thermal performance through long winters is a major consideration, and New York City storefront changes often involve landmark or building owner review in addition to permits.
